I have been practising Iyengar yoga for over 15 years and began teaching after training with Alan Goode, the Iyengar family in Australia and more recently with Caroline Coggins. I juggle children, a day job and teaching but always finds time to return to my practice. In my teaching I am always mindful of the many demands on my students’ lives and encourage them to work skilfully, intelligently and with compassion for where they are at in their practice.

I began practicing yoga in 1988 and was immediately hooked by the non-competitive and dynamic form of body movement. Yoga has taught me to feel and effect changes in my mind and body, including increased physical and mental stability and improved strength, flexibility and sleep! I am a Junior Intermediate Level 3 Iyengar Yoga Teacher.

I started practicing Iyengar Yoga after a motorcycle accident in 1997 caused a badly broken wrist. I wanted to build strength in the joint and found yoga to be the best practice for this. After starting yoga, there was no going back, not only was my wrist healed but so had many other areas of my life improved. I started teacher training with Alan Goode in 2005 and gained certification in 2007. I am grateful for my practice and it’s an honour to be able to share it with my students.
