I have been practising Iyengar yoga for over 15 years and began teaching after training with Alan Goode, the Iyengar family in Australia and more recently with Caroline Coggins. I juggle children, a day job and teaching but always finds time to return to my practice. In my teaching I am always mindful of the many demands on my students’ lives and encourage them to work skilfully, intelligently and with compassion for where they are at in their practice.
I have been practicing Iyengar yoga for over 10 years under the guidance of Claire Havey. I gained my Introductory Level Iyengar teacher certification in October 2018 with the support of Senior Teacher Caroline Coggins at The Yoga Centre East Redfern. I am undertaking a mentorship with Stephanie Quirk in Yoga Therapeutics. I am Registered Occupational Therapist with a background in health, safety, ergonomics and injury rehabilitation.
I relish the opportunity yoga provides to work deeply on body and mind. As a teacher, I take great pleasure in sharing the joy of yoga with my students and seeing them progress. I am a certified Iyengar yoga teacher, trained by leading yoga practitioner Pixie Lillas. I have taught yoga since 2004.
I began practicing yoga in 1988 and was immediately hooked by the non-competitive and dynamic form of body movement. Yoga has taught me to feel and effect changes in my mind and body, including increased physical and mental stability and improved strength, flexibility and sleep! I am a Junior Intermediate Level 3 Iyengar Yoga Teacher.
Jenny is an accredited Iyengar yoga teacher with over 20 years teaching experience. She established her yoga school, Yoga@Oatley in 1990 and achieved teaching certification in 2006. Jenny trained under Senior Iyengar teacher Alan Goode and is a student of Senior Iyengar teacher Pixie Lillas and has attended classes at the Iyengar Yoga Institute in Pune, India in 1996 and 2008. She has a degree in Anatomy and has a keen interest in how yoga provides body alignment and mental stability. .
I have been practising for 20 years and teaching for ten. I am a certified Introductory Level 2 teacher and continue my training with Kay Parry.
Attending my first yoga class in Perth in 1989, I was fascinated by how I could affect my mind and sense of wellbeing simply by putting my body in certain positions. As a non-sporty person, I was attracted to yoga’s steady pace and approach to self-acceptance. I am a certified Iyengar Yoga teacher and enjoy sharing the benefits of yoga with students who want to explore their practice at their own pace, in an environment that is safe and non-judgemental. I have an interest in trauma recovery.
I’m the founder of Half Moon Yoga. Now that I have moved to the Blue Mountains, I no longer teach, but am still involved as a Board member. I began practising Iyengar in 1989 have taught since 1999. I trained with Caroline Coggins at the Kings Cross Yoga Centre where I taught for 10 years. I continue to study yoga with Caroline and studied with the Iyengar family in Pune, India. I studied yoga therapy with Stephanie Quirk. I’m a Junior Intermediate Level 1 qualified teacher.

The Iyengar Yoga Certification Mark is used under licence by certificated Iyengar Yoga teachers worldwide. This mark recognises teachers of Iyengar Yoga who have completed intensive teacher training, have undergone a rigorous assessment process and must undertake continuing education to renew or upgrade their certificate to a higher level. These stringent requirements ensure an internationally recognised standard of excellence in teaching.
